O.U.T. was a French band active in the early 2000s, known for its impactful nu-metal sound incorporating rap and industrial influences. Their music featured heavy riffs and socially conscious lyrics.

Formed in Paris, O.U.T. (sometimes stylized Out) emerged on the French scene in the early 2000s, aligning with the burgeoning nu-metal and rapcore movement. The band quickly developed a distinct sonic identity, blending the aggression of metal with hip-hop phrasing and industrial textures, creating an atmosphere that was both raw and introspective.

Their discography, though compact, left a lasting impression with its energy and authenticity. Following a notable demo in 2000, they released the self-titled EP Sors de l'Ombre in 2001, which helped them gain visibility. It was with the album Contre Courant in 2003 that O.U.T. solidified their style, offering powerful compositions and French lyrics that addressed social and personal themes with palpable sincerity.

O.U.T.'s music is characterized by syncopated rhythms, heavy guitars, and vocals alternating between rap flows and furious screams. The band successfully built a bridge between different musical aesthetics, enriching the landscape of French alternative metal of that era. Although their career was relatively short, their impact was significant within the underground scene, and they are now considered a reference for enthusiasts of the genre.
