Cerebral Bore emerged from Glasgow, Scotland, in 2006, quickly establishing themselves as a rising force in the brutal death metal and deathgrind landscape. The band distinguished itself through its technical approach, relentless speed, and the integration of slamming death metal elements, crafting a sound that was both brutal and complex.

Their debut album, Maniacal Miscreation, released in 2009, garnered acclaim from underground critics for its intensity and the instrumental prowess of its members. The arrival of Dutch vocalist Simone Pluijmers in 2010 marked a pivotal period for the band, her powerful guttural vocals becoming a recognizable signature and helping to increase their visibility.

Cerebral Bore continued to tour and record, culminating in the release of the album Aura in 2012. This opus solidified their reputation, demonstrating compositional maturity while retaining their characteristic ferocity. The band toured with major names in the extreme metal scene, thereby expanding their audience.

Despite their growing success, Cerebral Bore entered a hiatus after Simone Pluijmers's departure in late 2012, bringing an end to a promising career that left a significant imprint through its contribution to modern death metal.
