Dark Castle was an American sludge and doom metal duo, formed in Florida in the mid-2000s. Comprising Stevie Floyd on guitar and vocals, and Rob Shaffer on drums, the band quickly distinguished itself with its unique and powerful sonic approach.

Their music was characterized by slow, heavy riffs, deeply rooted in doom and sludge metal, enriched with psychedelic elements and a dense atmosphere. Stevie Floyd contributed a unique dimension with her ethereal and often tortured vocals, contrasting with the instrumental brutality. Dark Castle's sound was both minimalist in composition and maximalist in its impact, creating an immersive and crushing experience.

The duo released several EPs and two acclaimed studio albums: "Spirited Migration" in 2009 and "Labyrinth of Stolen Goods" in 2011. These works solidified their reputation within the underground scene, and their intense touring highlighted the power of their live performances.

Dark Castle ceased its activities around 2012, leaving behind a concise yet influential discography that continues to resonate with fans of heavy and experimental metal.
