Black Strobe is a French electronic music group, spearheaded by Arnaud Rebotini, known for its pioneering electroclash sound blending techno, rock, and punk influences.

Founded in Paris in the early 2000s by Arnaud Rebotini and Ivan Smagghe, Black Strobe quickly established itself as an emblematic figure of the electroclash scene. Their sound, characterized by an audacious fusion of techno's rhythmic power and the raw energy of rock and punk, redefined the boundaries of electronic music.

Following the resounding success of the 2002 single "Me and Madonna," Ivan Smagghe departed the project, leaving Arnaud Rebotini as the sole driving force. Rebotini continued to explore and refine the group's sonic identity, leading to the release of their debut album, Burn Your Own Church, in 2007. This work solidified their reputation as innovative artists capable of creating dark yet danceable atmospheres.

Black Strobe's style is marked by powerful basslines, industrial synthesizers, and often hard-hitting vocals, evoking an aesthetic that is both dark and euphoric. Their discography, though featuring a limited number of studio albums, has had a significant impact on electronic music, influencing many artists through their uncompromising approach and ability to blur the lines between genres.
